Ciklum is looking for a Junior Application Support Engineer to join our team full-time in India.

About the role:

As a Junior Application Support Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. You will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for our applications and systems. You will work closely with senior engineers and other IT professionals to ensure that applications are running smoothly and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a foundational understanding of application support who is looking to grow their skills in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Provide first-level support for application-related issues reported by end-users. Troubleshoot and resolve application problems or escalate to senior engineers as needed
  • Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor application performance, availability, and error logs. Perform routine maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance and security
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for application support processes, troubleshooting guides, and user instructions
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, QA engineers, and other IT staff to identify and resolve issues. Participate in deployment and upgrade activities
  • Customer Service: Communicate effectively with users to understand their issues and provide timely resolutions. Maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions
  • Incident Management: Assist in incident response and resolution, including tracking and reporting on incidents and service requests

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in application support, technical support, or a related role
  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of application support tools and methodologies. Familiarity with operating systems, databases, and basic scripting is a plus
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support other team members as needed

Desirable

  • Experience with specific technologies or platforms used by the company (SQL, cloud services)
  • Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks
