What is your role in our journey?
At Burns & McDonnell India (BMI OGC), you'll be joining the ranks of our multi-disciplinary engineering team. You'll report to Assistant Engineering Manager-OGC. And your focus? The engineering design of projects spanning across sectors such as Oil, Gas, Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Renewable Fuels, Decarbonization, and Carbon Capture. And these projects aren't limited to a local scale; they are positioned globally, reflecting our worldwide impact.
You'll be a part of our vibrant Oil, Gas, and Chemicals (OGC) Global Practice, a thriving collective of around 500 professionals. This dynamic group lives and breathes engineering, procurement, and construction projects across various industries - Refining, Midstream & Logistics, Petrochemical, and Chemicals.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, engineer and generate SmartPlant 3D model of plant buildings, steel structures, foundations, various mechanical equipment, storage tanks, cooling towers, compressors, fired heaters, MCC, PCC, lighting, motors, cables, cable trays, grounding, instrumentation & control systems, pipelines, valves, control valves etc
- Use various software like Smart Plant suite, Casear II, Pipe net, Aspen HYSYS, Compress, HTRI, RISA, StaadPro Connect, RAM Connection, Foundation 3D, MAT 3D, Tekla Structures, Navisworks, ETAP and Visual lighting software
- Apply international codes and standards in various design situations
- Prepare various engineering deliverables: PFD, UFD, H&MB, P&ID, DP/DT diagram, datasheets, Line list, Equipment list, Utility summary, Hazardous Area Classification & Source list, Tie-in List, Effluent and Emission Summary, Relief Summary, equipment specifications, valve specs, piping material specs, cable sizing, lighting calculation, electrical equipment sizing calculations, electrical single line diagrams (SLD), three line diagrams, schematics, interconnection drawings, equipment layouts, cable schedules, panel schedules, power/grounding/lighting layouts, instrument datasheets etc
- Develop material requisitions, doing bid evaluation, reviewing vendor drawings & calculations and participation in factory acceptance tests
- Review vendor datasheets, drawings and calculations
- Prepare installation datasheets, address site queries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in any of the following disciplines: chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, production engineering, civil/structural engineering, electrical engineering and instrumentation & control engineering.
- Minimum 60% marks or equivalent grades in qualifying examination of reputed university/ institute in India.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
