Main Purpose of
Tag
The
tag serves the purpose of representing content that is tangentially related to the main content of a webpage in HTML5. It is used to mark information that is not directly related to the main content flow but still provides additional context, complementary information, or sidebars.
What we Design by Using
Tag
- Sidebars
- Pull Quotes
- Tangentially Related information
The
should be appropriate and not disrupt the overall flow and understanding of the main content. The content within the
tag should be able to be skipped without affecting the comprehension of the main content.
