Abdullah Shafique was born in 1999 in Pakistan into a Punjabi Gujjar family. His father is a long-term resident of Dubai. In 1991, he moved to Pakistan and settled down in Pakistan.
Abdullah Shafique debuted in Pakistan's T20I International squad on 10 November 2020 in a series against Zimbabwe, in the series, which was a great performance. After that, on 26 November 2021, he made his Pakistan Test squad debut against Bangladesh. On 21 August 2022, he made his third One Day International (ODI) match debut for Pakistan against Zimbabwe.
