Sung Hoon (born Bang In-Gyu) is a South Korean actor and model who works in both television and films and he is known for his work in multiple television projects in leading roles. He was born on 14 February 1983 in Nam District, Daegu, South Korea.

Sung Hoon studied Social Physical Education at Yong In University. He spent fourteen years as an Olympic-level competitive swimmer before an injury led to his retirement. It was during this time that he turned to acting.
Sung Hoon made history as the first Korean actor to host a fan meeting in Brazil, donating all proceeds to victims of a Brazilian flood.
