Kosovo (officially known as the Republic of Kosovo) is a landlocked country in Southeast Europe with partial diplomatic recognition that is bordered by Albania to the southwest, Montenegro to the west, Serbia to the north and east, and North Macedonia to the southeast and name Kosovo is of South Slavic origin.
Currency of Kosovo
The main currency of Kosovo is the Euro which was adopted as de facto legal tender in 2002 despite the territory not being a member of the Eurozone or the European Union that succeeded the use of German marks in 1999.
According to data from Wikipedia, during the disintegration of Yugoslavia in the early 1990s, Kosovo unsuccessfully attempted to gain independence, and in 1998–1999 the situation escalated with the Kosovo War. On 17 February 2008, Kosovo declared independence as 114 out of 193 United Nations member states formally recognized the Republic of Kosovo as of 4 September 2020.
