Multi-talented actor, writer, director, producer, and occasional singer Tshering Gyeltshen became the highest-paid celebrity in Bhutan who started his acting career in 2001 with the film "Chepi Bu" which won him the Best Actor Award in the Bhutan Entertainment Industry.

Gyeltshen debuted himself as a director in the film 'Hingtam' (2002) which was loved by the audience, especially the youth also he won the second Best Actor Award in the film 'Wai Charo' in 2004.

2nd is Nidup Dorji, who works as an actor, singer, writer, and director in the Bhutan Entertainment Industry who appeared in more than 50 films. He began his acting career as a singer in the 1990s. He has sung more than 300 songs. He debuted himself as an actor in the film "Damtshi Pangtshu" (1997), after that "Jigdrel" (1998) where he played opposite Tshenring Yangden, that film was the first blockbuster in Bhutanese cinema.

Nidup Dorji took the Best Actor Award in 2007 for the film "Sangwi Charo", for a negative role in the films "Chorten Kora 2" (2010) and "Boom Bada Chenmi Rinzi" (2017). He also started the reality singing show "Bhutan Star" in 2008. He discontinued the show after the third season.
