Elizabeth Anne Vargas is an American television journalist best known as the co-anchor of ABC World News Tonight and 20/20 and the host of America's Most Wanted. She began her journalism career in 1984 and joined NBC News in 1993. In 1996, she resigned and joined ABC, where she worked for 22 years. Since 2018, she has been working at A&E Investigates and America's Most Wanted.
