Basics of Punjab Police Constable Vacancies
There are currently 1746 vacancies available for the position of Punjab Police Constable, which includes District Police (970 posts) and Armed Police (776 posts). Interested candidates can apply for this exam which starts on 14th March 2024, and the last date for applications submitting is 4th April 2024.
Stages of Punjab Police Constable Exam
The Punjab Police Constable exam is divided into three stages, which are as follows:
- Stage I: Two common Computer Based Test (CBT), Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type Paper viz. Paper-I and Paper-II, of which Paper-II shall be qualifying in nature.
- Stage II: A Physical Screening Test (PST) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT) test, both tests shall be qualifying in nature.
- Stage III: It will consist of Document Scrutiny.
STAGE–I: Computer Based Test
Paper I: Comprise 100 questions carrying one (01) mark each.
Paper II: It is mandatory to take a qualifying test for the Punjabi language, which will consist of 50 questions carrying 1 mark each. The qualifying criteria is 50% and the marks obtained in this test will not be counted for determining merit.

Central & State Legislature, Executive, Judicial Institutions & Local Government Institutions, History, Geography, Culture, Economy of Punjab, and Basics of Science & Technology (35 Questions)
Quantitative Aptitude and Numerical Skills:
Simplification, Average, Decimal & Fractions, Ratio & Proportion, Percentages, Profit & Loss, Simple Interest, Time & Work, and Bar graphs & Line graphs (20 Questions)
Mental Ability & Logical Reasoning:
Number & Letter Series, Sequencing, Statements & Conclusions, Pattern Completion, Order & Ranking, Direction & Distances, and Relationship Problems (20 Questions)
English Language Skills
Reading Comprehension, Punjabi to English Translation, Sentence rearrangement and correction, Error Spotting, Fill in the Blanks, Spelling Correction, and Vocabulary (Synonym, Antonym, one-word substitution) (10 Questions)
Punjabi Language Skills
A total of 10 questions will be asked for the Punjabi language skill test.
