It stands for "Relational Database Management System"; The RDBMS is a program that allows to CREATE, UPDATE, and administer a relational database. Basically, A relational database refers to a database that stores data in a structured format, using ROWS and COLUMNS in SQL.

A Relational Database Management System consists of a collection of tables that store interrelated data. This relational structure makes it possible to run queries across multiple tables at once.
